Once registered you will receive a welcoming paper listing steps to take to find your lost dog. You also get a stainless steel dog tag to be put onto your dog’s collar. Put it on right away because this tag has important identification information.

Is my dog’s name on the tag?

No. This is an important part of our philosophy. Having your dog’s name available can give a person with bad intentions the ability to lure your dog away.

What information is on the tag?

The tag has the following information engraved in it; our name, Dog Registry of America Inc., an 800 telephone number and a identification number.

How am I contacted when someone reports my dog as been found?

A person reporting they have found your dog is asked for their name and contact information. They are asked to describe the dog and color and where was the dog found. They are asked for the identification number on the tag. Dog Registry of America then tries to contact the DRA member to give them the information. As a means of security and protection the information of the owner and member is never given to someone else.
